Corinne Jackson
Okanagan Basin Water Board Communications Director
Kelowna, British Columbia
Corinne Jackson joined the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) as its Communications Director in 2009. Corinne is uniquely suited for this role – with a degree in Political Science, and work experience as an award-winning journalist, specializing in social justice issues. Corinne left journalism in 2001 to pursue a career in communications that continued to feed her passion for social issues. As part of her role at the OBWB, she manages its public outreach and education program “Okanagan WaterWise,” helping raise awareness regarding water issues in the valley. Side note: Corinne was in her first year of post-secondary and planning to be a teacher when she was asked a question that she didn’t have the answer to. This led her down that educational path to a Poli Sci degree.
Corinne has two children in the public education system, one in Grade 9 and another in Grade 11.
