Today, we’re dealing with a radically different type of learner - one who interacts with the world in a very different manner than previous generations. Their expectations and assumptions about the world they live in, which have been further complicated by a lingering global pandemic, are compelling education and educators to fundamentally rethink traditional assumptions about teaching, learning, and assessment. Based on the award-winning book Reinventing Learning For the Always-On Generations, this practical session examines our rapidly changing world and considers the new entry skills required by all learners to succeed in digitally infused learning and working environments.

This session identifies a comprehensive profile of ten future-focused learning attributes and outlines effective research-based teaching, learning, and assessment strategies that can be used to shift instruction and ensure learners acquire these essential skills. Participants will be provided with access to an extensive digital library of resources aligned to the core learning attributes outlined in the Reinventing Learning presentation.
