The water of the Okanagan is what has drawn people to this valley from the beginning, but myths persist about its abundance. The Okanagan Basin Water Board is a science-driven local government agency responsible for providing valley-wide leadership on water management. We will do some myth-busting, sharing information about this unique and precious area, known as Canada’s most water-stressed region. Come explore the many existing resources, activities, and lesson plans for Okanagan educators. Discover new outdoor education resources, created in collaboration with Syilx Knowledge Keepers and several partners in education (SD 22 and 23, UBC Okanagan's School of Education, and more), and which meet the B.C. curriculum’s emphasis on place-based learning. Learn about downloadable materials, items available for pick up, and leave with ready-made lessons! Suitable for all grades.
Target Audience: Suitable for teachers of all grades

You are invited to a Zoom meeting.
