Bonjour et bienvenue! I am ecstatic that you have chosen to participate in the upcoming Climate Justice seminar that has been curated to provide you with an overview on environmental racism, climate justice and the ways in which oppression takes form in green/blue spaces and in the overall Canadian environmental movement. Although we will touch upon a variety of subjects, including the concept of identity, and the ways in which the climate change movement could be more inclusive; the true purpose of this seminar is not necessarily to educate you, but to inspire you to action. My hope is that your learning will not stop after this hour, but that you will use our time together to feed your thirst for a better world and a better Canada as you delve deeper into the intersectionality of climate change.
